Arrived In Romania
Posted from: Brasov, RomaniaHaving arrived in Bucharest a few days ago and spent a couple of days 'settling in' I decided to make a break for the hills. I was torn between the mountains or the sea, but in the end I decided that a few days of rest by the sea would be a great way to relax at the end of this 3 week Romania trip.
I passed 2 days in Sinaia on the way to Brasov. Sinaia is one of the best Ski resorts in Romania, but being August there was of course no snow (not that I can ski anyway!). I imagine the place would look better with some of the 'white stuff' around.
Still a good chance to get out there an aimlessly wander around the mountains. Must admit, I over did it a bit and am now suffering a little.
Lots of tourists around but not so many of the Backpacker types. I guess arriving in Sinaia over an August weekend didn't help (had a REAL tough job to find a room!)
